Do I need a referral to start physical therapy in Washington?
Nope. Washington is a direct access state which means you can see a PT without a physician’s referral.

What should I expect at my first visit?
A one-on-one evaluation with your therapist who will create a plan for getting you back to what you want to do.
How long are appointments?
45 minutes, one patient at a time.
Insurance & Payment
Do you take insurance?
Yes. We are currently in-network with Premera, Lifewise, Regence and most Bluecross Blueshield plans. We also have a contract with Cigna that goes into effect March 15th.
What if you don’t take my insurance?
We’re more than happy to provide you with a Superbill - a detailed description of services provided - that you can then submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. You would be charged the out-of-pocket rates for your visit.
What if I don’t have insurance?
No problem! You can pay out-of-pocket. Initial evaluations are $200 and follow up visits are $150.
How does payment work?
When you check in for your visit you will be prompted to pay at the kiosk whatever balance you owe with our secure card reader. We will also send out bills via email that you can conveniently pay online.
Conditions & Treatment
What types of injuries do you treat?
We treat a wide range of orthopedic injuries including finger and shoulder injuries from climbing, running-related knee and hip pain, post-surgical rehab, tendon injuries, back and neck pain, and hypermobility-related joint issues.
What is diagnostic ultrasound in physical therapy?
Diagnostic ultrasound is a real-time imaging tool used to assess muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints during movement. It helps identify the issue more accurately and guides more precise treatment and exercise planning.
What is blood flow restriction therapy?
Blood flow restriction therapy uses a specialized cuff to allow strength and healing benefits with much lighter loads. It’s especially helpful when joints are irritated, after surgery, or when heavy resistance isn’t yet appropriate.
Logistics
Where is the clinic located?
We’re located in the Central District/Capitol Hill (right across from Chuck’s Hop Shop). Our address is 1400 20th Ave, Seattle, WA, 98122
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing that allows easy movement and access to the area being treated. Athletic wear such as shorts, t-shirts, or tank tops works well. Shoes you can move in are helpful for movement assessment.
What if I need to cancel?
No-shows and cancellations with less than 24 hours notice are subject to a $100 fee. Of course, life happens. We will not charge you if you wake up feeling sick on the morning of your visit, but please just let us know as soon as possible.
